There's lots of really nice people who like to help, so it's okay if you ask for help. When I got here, I didn't ask for help but everyone helped me anyways... You guys missed Christmas here, but it's okay, because I'll get you a present if you really want one; it'll be like a special package in the mail! It's the least I can do, being a cerdurfied superhero.

[She adds quickly, as an afterthought:]

A-also, if you wake up in the snow, be really careful, too. Snow's cold! It'll make you sick if you're in it for a long time.

[Now... Where was she...

Hm.

Hmmm. Maybe it'd be a good time to test out her lie-proof magic stone...? She's admittedly... been afraid to touch it. Partially because of how her friends feel about Mr. Loki and what had happened, but also because... is it bad, to see if people are lying? Does it make her a bad girl? It's things to really think about.

So she blurts out something in the middle of her thoughts, clutching the magical stone in her hand, out of sight of the little screen.]

... just in case. After all, a little girl has some doubts. She just wants to make sure of some things every once and a while sometimes, right? That's why when she's done on the journal, she'll look for Winry for a one-on-one talk, if she's available for it. Maybe looking a little nervous before she calls to her, anyway. Stuff has been kinda... difficult recently...

Maybe now wouldn't be a good time to ask about things.

She'll also spend a lot of the day out in the front since it's kinda... hotter today than it usually is. What's up with this weird Luceti weather, guys? All the snowy stuff is melting... Man, even her little snowmen. And her cool igloo. :C

She'll go ahead and pout on the steps, holding one of the snowman's twiggy arms in one hand.

Oh, just reading how to take care of our new movie projector. [Winry closes the book before leaning forward to better pay attention to Elicia.]

What are you up to?

[Elicia would just love to watch five billion movies, no joke. Until then, there are important things to attend to! She remembers as much when Winry asks what's up; clutching the hidden stone, she sits down next to Winry, eyes flicking for just a moment to the green halo around Winry's head nonchalantly.]

I was making sure you're okay... We're family, and family always make sure the people they love is okay!

[a beat]

Are you doing okay?

Yeah, I'm all right. [She pets Elicia's head, and puts on a small, reassuring smile.]

I'm just worried about Ed. It's always a little scary when you don't know where someone is.

[She nods. She doesn't need to look at the green halo to know that's the truth.]

Yeah... but he's really tough, so he'll be back soon.

So we just gotta wait for him.

Waiting is always really hard. But we're strong, so we can do it. When he gets back maybe we should all cuddle up and watch a movie together? I can make popcorn to go with it.

[She smiles a bit. How can she say no to a movie?

That sounds wonderful.]

I'd like to do that a lot, big sis.

I can help you make the popcorn, if you want.

Maybe if I find a good recipe we can even make kettle corn.

Kettle corn? It's different from popcorn?

Instead of butter and salt it's sugar, but not as thick as caramel corn.

We have one called Mulan I think you might like.

Mulan? [Immediate intrigue. Two syllables can really hook a kid!] What's it about? Does it have dinosaurs or cool fighters with swords??

No dinosaurs, but it's about a girl who joins the army undercover to save her country.

[She laughs and stands from her chair.]

[She nods and--well, lookit that, her mood is just cheerful as all get-out now.]

But let's not tell Winry that because I can totally do this.]

[She salutes to that--she's tried to do it more often, since her father left. Somebody has to, right?] I will, promise! You can count on me.
