[Elicia has had a really great New Feather round. For one thing, dad was back. For another, so was Sanji. These reasons alone made her the happiest person in all of Luceti (save for maybe... I dunno, Grune. She's always pretty happy and stuff. Oh, and that dog Dug she hasn't met yet). But otherwise, happiest! And when she pops in on video to address the populace, she's got a big ol' smile. Even if she sounds a little stuffy.]

Hi, new feathers! My name's Elicia! It's getting real cold, so make sure you all got real warm coats, okay?? 'Cause getting a cold is not a good thing; your nose gets real stuffy and you go through... a lot of tissues...

[aah—achoo!

... She might be coming down with something. It happens to the best of us.]

Ummm, I wanna make really tasty hot chocolate and cookies and give them to you... I think I'm gonna ask mama and papa if we can go to the Welcome place so I can... Or maybe I can give the nice people who work there some, so they can give to people...!

[UM UM. IS THERE MORE.]

Oh, yeah! My papa and my big bro are here again, so make sure you say hi! My papa's name is Maes, but lots of people call him Hughes, and my big bro is Sanji—he's a cool chef at the restaurant, so you should definitely try his food! And my papa is a military guy! Is there other people who work in the military? You should meet him!

[... one more thing!]

And Mr. Uncle Jack, I gotta see you again so I can give you back your cool compass, so if you want it...!

asobouyo: (I hate this episode.)
[Elicia woke up, stretched with a wide yawn, and then discovered sleepily that it was cold and her bed was a familiar tree log. Oh—

Oh, they let her go...! She remembers being confined to a cell, but they hadn't really done much but feed her really nasty food. And give her nasty syrup. So when she starts walking through the forest, she finds they actually gave her shoes and a long-sleeve for her troubles. Her hair was let down from the usual pigtails, giving a little extra protection for her ears. So... she was actually doing pretty well.

Hm. Which way was home...

She puts on her best brave face and opens her journal.]

I'm sorry I got lost, but the bad guys let me go... Papa, are you there? Don't worry! I'm okay! I was really brave!

[The sudden realization that she's okay and back in a safer place brings a few tears to her eyes, and she wipes them away.]

I'm sorry I left, but I'm here, s-so... I wanna go home now.
asobouyo: (N-no way!)
[The feed had started out with Elicia sitting on the couch, showing off different drawings for the day, bringing up the idea of camping—about maybe sleeping over at Winry's house. But soon the peace is lost when something off camera forces open the front door. There's the muffled noise of Hughes—calling out something, something that one can't make out too well, but it's fairly obvious what it's about when Elicia jumps off the couch and runs into her room, journal hanging open in her one hand.

Noises of metal clashing against metal, quieted when Elicia closes her door and does what her father tells her; she hides in her closet, hugging the journal until it's just a black video screen.

...Quiet.

And then footsteps. But they seem heavy.]

...Papa...?

[The door is pulled open and a robotic hand juts across the video screen, grabbing Elicia before the still rolling journal finally falls and flips shut.]
asobouyo: (You're really tall man.)
[Standing outside the school like a champ is Elicia, with her journal dropped to the side to catch her in the screen—she looks very focused, and her gloved hands are raised up like she's about to open an old Egyptian tomb. After a moment, she speaks in a commanding voice:]

Miss Na-la of the healing! My name is Elicia Hughes! It's spelled E-L-I-C-I-A! I'm five years old. [...an addendum] And I can count to 16!

U-um, I wrote you a letter, so— [she fiddles with her winter coat and unfolds a big blue piece of construction paper] —here! I'll read it...

Hi... Miss Nala! How are you today? I'm okay, but I really really really... wanna learn how to fix people's owies. Sometimes I hit my toe or get a cut, so I know it can hurt! So I wanna make sure... I can help if people get hurt, too. A-and I'm doing really good in school, so I'll be good for you, if you show me how!

[She looks up from the paper.]

I like helping people. I think you do, too! So let's be friends, okay...?
