1st Teddy Bear [Text...?]
[A New Feather is currently hiding out in an old hollowed out log in the forest, cold and very upset. After all, it's not everyday that someone ends up in some strange new place! And with the angel wings on her back, she can't help but wonder what the heck just happened. After a very tiring hike through a very big forest (to a five-year-old, at least), she'd decided to stop and, uh, wait for help. Because people would definitely come for her! And she shouldn't be afraid while she waited, because she was a big girl.
Besides, mama says when you're upset or worried, just do what you really enjoy doing... A-and she did have a cool new book...
If you happen to look in yours, you may notice some very wonderful artwork spamming your pages, looking a little something like this:]
[Welcome to Elicia-ville. Population: lots of funny-looking flowers and animals.]

Re: [action]
[She scurries back into the log at the glimpse of movement!]
[action]
I'm not going to hurt you.
[His experience in chasing down reluctant plus souls might just come in handy here. ... Or not, since he's just as likely to literally chase them down and force a Soul Burial on them as reassure them. Never mind the giant sword on his back, Elicia. Really.]
Re: [action]
[She squirms back a little further.]
[action]
Yeah. Don't use it on anyone who doesn't deserve it.
Re: [action]
...
Are you like a hero from my books?!
[action]
I don't know. Hard to say when I don't know which books you have. [But this is something he can latch onto. She's talking to him now and not running.] Tell me about them and we'll decide.
Re: [action]
[action]
Never saved a princess. [Unfortunately, but he's glossing over that sore subject.] But I've fought a lot of scary stuff.

Re: [action]
But, but--! What if you're a monster in disguise?

[Why is he trying to reason with a small child?]
Re: [action]
[She finally crawls out of the log. Her hairs ruffled and her white gown is all a-mess, but she seems okay. A little cold and confused.]
Well—doesn't your mama wonder where you are, too?
[action]
I doubt it. She's not here.
[Doesn't even know who she is, at that.]
Re: [action]
Aaaw, I'm sorry, misder.
When we find my mama, we'll make some pie! That always makes me happy.
What's your favorite type of pie? Mine's cherry.
[action]
I think you might be able to find cherry pie in the bakery, or maybe the grocery store. [Totally skipping that question. There's no such thing as watermelon pie, unfortunately.]
Re: [action]
There's a bakery?! Is there lots of rows of pies and doughnuts and cake??
[action]
There's a bakery. I'm not in there much, but I guess they'd have to have a lot of stuff.
Re: [action]
[action]
[Er, that may have been the wrong thing to tell a child. How to backpedal...]
But you should probably still ask someone about it.
Re: [action]
Well, why can't I ask you? Cause you're really smart...
Re: [action]
I'm not your parents.
